Welcome to Auxiliary Operations Analysis

Auxiliary Operations Analysis (AOA) is responsible for oversight, direction, and coordination of the budgetary, financial, and planning activities for all the self-supporting campus operations. The self-supporting operations are also known as auxiliaries. Examples of major auxiliaries include University Housing, University Health Services (UHS), Wisconsin Union, Intercollegiate Athletics, Recreational Sports, and Transportation Services. Minor auxiliaries are commonly known as Fund 136 or Revenue Producing Activities (RPA's). Minor auxiliaries include activities such as campus copy centers, UW Veterinary Hospital, child care centers, and numerous specialized centers that provide services to research grants. There are over 1,000 minor auxiliaries on campus.

AOA is involved in the annual budget process; financial reporting and analysis; short and long range planning; capital budget planning; and consultation in audit matters.  Auxiliary Operations Analysis reports to the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration.
